About

The Alexandra, Birmingham, is an exquisite Edwardian auditorium staging a rich mix of drama, musicals, concerts and comedy. One of the country’s favourite venues for touring companies. 
 

As well as hosting world class theatre throughout the year, the New Alexandra Theatre also offers unique events such as Ghost Tours, Cocktail Masterclasses, Post Show Parties, Film Screenings and can even be hired for events and conferences. The venue offers a range of newly refurbished spaces, including the stunning Piano Bar and stylish and intimate Ambassador Lounge. The theatre is just minutes away from Grand Central and The Mailbox.      

The beloved theatre was built in 1901 by William Coutts and throughout its vast history, has become home to first class entertainment. In 2018, the venue underwent an extensive refurbishment and reverted to its original name, The Alexandra. Located in the centre of Birmingham with 1,300+ seats, The Alexandra presents a varied programme of World Class Theatre including; West End Musicals, Touring Drama, Stand Up Comedy, Family Shows, Opera, Live Music and much more.
