Visitors to the borough of Dudley are delighted by the variety of things in the area. Diverse attractions cater for all ages, offering opportunities to try something new, immersion into unique environments and gain knowledge of the history of the West Midlands.

With a history that dates back to Anglo-Saxton times, Dudley grew as a major market town and one of the birthplaces of the industrial revolution, otherwise known as The Black Country. Visitors can immerse themselves in the history of area at the Black Country Living Museum, also one of the top filming locations for BBC drama ‘The Peaky Blinders'. For a full, fun family day out, a trip to Dudley Zoo and Castle is a must! Dudley is also an ideal place to explore the region's canals, either by walking or cycling or taking a narrowboat tour through the historic Dudley Canal & Tunnel Trust limestone caverns. Meanwhile, Dudley Museum at the Archives has a fantastic selection of fossils and geology displays, a dinosaur display, a small collection of Duncan Edwards memorabilia, local glass and artwork.

The Red House Glass Cone, reaching 100ft into the sky is a glass heritage visitor attraction, built at the end of the 18th century and is one of only four complete cones left in the UK. Family-friendly events including trails and activities take place throughout the year. The gift shop and artisan craft studios offer a range of locally produced glassware and handcrafted items that would make a special gift.

Himley Hall & Park is an 18th century Grade II* listed building set in 180 acres of Capability Brown landscaped parkland. Former home to the earl of Dudley, it is now host to a variety of exhibitions and events in the hall and park. The Indulgent Afternoon tea is something of a highlight. The Coffee Lounge offers the chance to enjoy a bite to eat whilst enjoying the views overlooking the tranquil park.
