B:Eats, the cafe located within Birmingham’s Symphony Hall, will present Lunch: Unplugged, a series of live music performances.

The acoustic performances will be held at 1pm during lunchtime slots on various dates between September and November. Attendance is completely free.

Nestled within the world-renowned Symphony Hall and overlooking the vibrant Centenary Square, B:Eats has been enriching the heart of Birmingham since its opening in the summer of 2022. Far more than just a café, B:Eats is a celebration of local flavours and culture. With a menu brimming with feel-good favourites, it is proudly known as ‘The Home of the Brummie Bacon Cake’™. B:Eats also hosts some of B:Music’s much-loved free live performances, showcasing the finest local artists.

Nicole Evans, Director of Commercial Services at B:Music said,

“We understand how challenging it can be to unplug during lunchtimes and resist the temptation to opt for a supermarket meal deal so you can keep working through lunch, or even to grab a quick handful of biscuits between meetings. However, we believe that taking a proper break is crucial. Not only does it enhance focus for the rest of the day, but it also allows us to reconnect with our community and colleagues by stepping out into the city.

“If you're working locally, consider visiting B:Eats at Symphony Hall, where we offer exclusive lunchtime deals just for you! B:Eats serves a delightful daytime menu featuring classic dishes with contemporary twists. Additionally, you can enjoy free lunchtime concerts, supporting some of the finest local emerging artists while savouring a delicious meal. All our food is freshly prepared, and with a variety of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, there's truly something for everyone to enjoy!”

Every purchase made at B:Eats directly supports B:Music, the charity behind Birmingham’s Town Hall and Symphony Hall. Each cup of coffee, sandwich, or piece of cake that is bought helps B:Music in its mission to nurture the next generation of creative talent, both on and off stage, while also maintaining these iconic venues.

Nick Reed, CEO at B:Music said,

"This is a lunch that truly makes a difference – delicious food that supports thousands of musical journeys every year. As a music charity, B:Music is dedicated to inspiring a love of live music through performance, participation, and learning. We are passionate about introducing young people to music and we work across some of Birmingham’s most disadvantaged communities to achieve this mission.

“Choosing B:Eats for your lunch directly supports us in bringing joy and improving lives through music. Opting for a quick meal deal on the go doesn't bring much joy to anyone. We are passionate about great food, which is why our bars and kitchen are operated in-house. Our B:Eats team love delivering the great, unpretentious food that has become our signature. Be sure to try the Brummie Bacon Cake!

"This autumn, we are delighted to offer a full season of free live music during lunchtimes at B:Eats. Take a break from the office, join us for lunch, relax, and enjoy the performances. We look forward to welcoming you."
