Birmingham residents are being invited to explore some of the city’s most intriguing spaces this May, as a new programme of behind-the-scenes experiences launches across the city.

City Uncovered, running from 18–31 May, will feature more than 20 limited-run experiences, offering locals access to places, people and stories across Birmingham.

Highlights include the chance to step inside the historic Coffin Works Museum for an after-hours experience with a drink, and to discover the city’s famous Balti Triangle through a dedicated food tour.

Elsewhere, visitors can go behind the scenes at The School of Jewellery with a hands-on workshop, join a craft beer tasting at a Birmingham brewery, or explore the city’s cultural and creative history through walking tours, street art experiences and TV and film location tours.

Designed for both residents and visitors, City Uncovered aims to encourage people to spend more time exploring the city, offering new perspectives on familiar places. It forms part of a wider programme also launching in Bristol, Bath and Brighton this spring, with Birmingham among the first cities to host the initiative.

The programme is organised by Yuup, an experiences marketplace working closely with local hosts, venues and creatives to bring together experiences that reflect the city and the people who shape it.

City Uncovered: Birmingham is supported by Visit Birmingham and The Jewellery Quarter BID, helping to spotlight the independent businesses, creative communities and venues that make the city unique.

Tickets will be released soon, with limited capacity across all experiences. Residents and visitors can now join the waitlist for early access.
