The Birmingham Conference and Events Centre (BCEC) and the Holiday Inn Birmingham City Centre are proud to announce they have once again been awarded the prestigious Silver Green Tourism Award – marking their second consecutive year of recognition and bringing them a step closer to achieving Gold status.

Presented by Green Tourism, the UK’s leading sustainability accreditation body, the award recognises the continued commitment of both the conference venue and hotel to sustainable and responsible hospitality. Over the past year, both sites have built on their environmental initiatives, further strengthening efforts around energy efficiency, water conservation, sustainable sourcing, community engagement and the promotion of low-carbon travel options.

This consecutive achievement reflects the ongoing sustainability strategy of the Cairn Group, which operates both the BCEC and the Holiday Inn Birmingham City Centre. The group remains focused on reducing its environmental impact while enhancing the wellbeing of its teams, guests and the wider community, guided by Green Tourism’s best-practice framework and its own evolving sustainability commitments.
