It wasn’t a figment of ‘pure imagination’ when theatre fans spotted a familiar character on the streets of Birmingham this week. Gareth Snook who plays the iconic role of Willy Wonka, came together with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory – The Musical cast members Isaac Sugden and Jessie-Lou Harvie, who both play the role of Charlie Bucket, outside of Birmingham Hippodrome to mark the productions arrival in the city.
Based on the iconic story, the spectacular stage show follows the hit West End and Broadway productions to combine the memorable songs from the original 1970’s motion picture ( ‘The Candy Man’ and ‘Pure Imagination’) with all new numbers from the multi award-winning songwriters of Hairspray and runs until Sunday 5 November.
When Charlie Bucket finds one of the five golden tickets to the Wonka Chocolate Factory, Charlie and the other winners can’t wait to feast on the sweets of their dreams. But beyond the gates, they discover more than just remarkable edible delights. As they embark on an extraordinary journey through Willy Wonka’s marvellous mind, they soon learn that nobody leaves the same way that they arrived.

In Friday Night Funkin', players will play the main character, commonly known as Boyfriend, trying to conquer the heart of his girlfriend, Girlfriend, through musical battles. Boyfriend's opponents change each week (level), with each week having different opponents, from the girlfriend's father Daddy Dearest, a demonic rock star, to other challengers like a good rap gangster. even an alien final boss.
The main gameplay of FNF is based on pressing the correct arrow keys that appear on the screen according to the rhythm of the song. Players need to keep their performance bar high by answering accurately and promptly, while causing their opponent's performance bar to drop. The challenge increases with each song and week, with the tracks getting faster and more complex.
The graphics in FNF are inspired by pop culture and animation style of the 90s, creating a game space that is both familiar and new. Each character has a unique design and distinct personality, from costumes to performance style.
The music in the game ranges from hip hop, pop, to electronic and rock, each song is composed and produced specifically for each game, contributing to creating a unique and exciting music experience.
