Mutt Motorcycles, born and bred in Birmingham. The industrial and creative heart of the UK and the birthplace of British motorcycling.

Mutt have now moved to bigger digs in Kings Norton - just a 15-minute trip out from Birmingham City Centre - to house their ever-growing pack of black metal machines. Their new home spreads across a mammoth 35,000 sq ft and boasts a unique showroom, store and hang out space, along with workshops, an R&D lab, a coffee shop, and even a secret whiskey bar. All on-site and all with that undeniable Mutt DNA running right through every room.

Sure, they could have moved into a big grey metal box on an industrial park somewhere, but where’s the fun in that? The new HQ and store sit in a building steeped in the industrial heritage of the area. Part old Victorian mill, part 70’s car museum, the place is packed with interesting details and full of the Brummie character that runs through Mutt like ‘Blackpool’ runs through a stick of rock. With some hard graft, the Mutt Crew have transformed the space into a one-of-a-kind experience and hang out space for all your ride out and meet up needs.

Having a larger place to work and play also gives Mutt the opportunity for bigger and better events and, of course, more of their now legendary parties. Speaking of which, cutting the red (or should we say black) ribbon at their new home was the perfect excuse. Mutt invited people from far and wide to come check out the motorcycle equivalent of the Death Star, calling in some help on liquid refreshments from their mates Jägermeister and London Fields Brewery who brought the hard stuff, and Big Drop who supplied alcohol-free craft beers for the riders and designated drivers. Birmingham's very own Digbeth Dining Club were there dishing out the grub, and Mutt’s resident DJ Jim 'Le Grin' was spinning hard hitters and floor fillers late into the night. Lucky Heather Tattoo was even there, providing life-long reminders of a great day out. Watch the video here.

There's been a lot of change at Mutt. From rugged and humble beginnings, Mutt has developed into a global brand, getting riders new and old on bikes in London, Madrid, Tokyo, Sydney and more. On these shores, the likes of Tom Hardy, James May, Reggie Yates, David Beckham and Skunk Anansie legend Skin have all taken to their custom mongrels. They may have gotten bigger and better looking, but they’re still the same warm and helpful guys who know a thing or two about bikes, as well as how to throw a good party.

There is nothing like seeing the in-person experience, so get yourself down to The House of Mutt to see what they’re all about. Packed with their full range of bikes and unique Mutt apparel, you’ll get a warm Brummie welcome from the Mutt Crew.
