Summer Nights at Winterbourne House & Garden

This summer, award-winning outdoor theatre company Illyria returns with As You Like It (August 8), bringing Shakespeare's romantic comedy to life in the gardens. Meanwhile, music lovers can experience the Birmingham Jazz & Blues Festival (July 25) as the Alan Barnes Quartet takes to the outdoor stage, filling the gardens with an evening of vibrant live jazz as part of the city-wide festival. 

The Big Screen, Outdoors

Birmingham Botanical Gardens and Dudley Zoo and Castle provides a stunning backdrop for outdoor cinema this summer.

Settle in among the gardens for open-air screenings of Sinners (August 14), Pulp Fiction (August 15) and Jurassic Park (August 16).

On the contrast, the historic grounds will host open-air screenings of The Goonies (August 7) and A Nightmare on Elm Street (August 8), offering the chance to watch two iconic films surrounded by the castle ruins and woodland.

Packwood House - A legendary adventure awaits

Swap the theatre for the great outdoors with an evening at Packwood House where the historic grounds become the stage for The Three Inch Fools' latest production, King Arthur and The Holy Fail (August 28).

This playful retelling of the Arthurian legend follows a reluctant hero on an unforgettable quest packed with eccentric characters, unexpected twists and plenty of laughs. Combining fast-paced storytelling with the beautiful surroundings of this National Trust property, it's the perfect choice for anyone looking for a fun summer evening out. Hanbury Hall – A summer season of open-air theatre

With its beautiful gardens and historic surroundings, Hanbury Hall provides a stunning backdrop for outdoor performances throughout the summer. Award-winning theatre company IIIyria returns with four productions, offering something for Shakespeare lovers, families and adventure seekers alike.

The summer programme concludes with The Pirates of Penzance (August 22), Gilbert and Sullivan's much-loved comic opera, delivering a hilarious tale of pirates, mistaken identities and unforgettable songs.

Outdoor Cinema at Rowheath Pavilion

Mockingbird Cinema is bringing a summer of outdoor movie nights to Rowheath Pavilion, bringing the magic of the big screen outdoors with a series of open-air screenings this summer.

With screenings of Grease (August 23), Mamma Mia! (August 21), Back to the Future (August 20) and The Greatest Showman (August 9), there's something for every generation to enjoy.

Food and drinks will be available to purchase on site, so all that's left to do is sit back, relax and enjoy the show.
