Six by Nico, the prestigious eatery is landing in the heart of Birmingham at 81 Colmore Row on 30th November. Birmingham will be the thirteenth location for the brand, which already has multiple sites throughout the UK and Ireland.

Founded by chef Nico Simeone, Six by Nico offers guests a delectable and affordable menu. The name itself tells the story of the core idea behind Six by Nico, renowned for creating a new six-course tasting menu that changes every six weeks, drawing inspiration from a theme, destination, or concept.

The menu is priced at £39 per person, with the option to enjoy an expertly selected wine pairing with a £30 supplement. The venue will accommodate approximately 72 guests, and 60 new jobs will be created.*

The interior design is influenced by the unique characteristics of the six-legged dragonfly, including their body shape, colour, and natural habitat. Birmingham foodies can expect earthy and inviting tones, complemented by a layer of high energy and impact that coincides with the exciting dishes to be announced. To pay tribute to Birmingham’s industrial heritage and the pioneering work of Boulton and Watt, components of the steam engine will form subtle historical nods. Materials such as iron, timber and blackened metal will be paired with opal lighting to reflect the contrast between the engine and the steam, with artwork and screening inspired by ‘steam glass’ to further pay homage.

Since opening in Finnieston in 2017, Six by Nico now has locations in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, Liverpool, London Fitzrovia, London Canary Wharf, Leeds, Cardiff, Belfast, Dublin, and Aberdeen.

Mr Simeone said, “We’ve launched many restaurants across the UK, but we’re thrilled to be bringing the concept to the second city! Birmingham’s culinary scene has gone from strength to strength, and we can’t wait to join with a bang into the centre of it all.”
