West Midlands rum lovers will be delighted to hear that the popular Birmingham Rum Festival will be returning for it's sixth year this Summer - with Bacardi Caribbean Spiced as headline sponsor!
The vibrant event celebrates the popular tipple in all its forms, and will present a true taste of the Caribbean showcasing a range of exciting brands at The Cuban Embassy in Moseley, on Saturday 24th June.
The Cuban Embassy in St Mary's Row is a rum lover's paradise, stocking over 100 rums including Birmingham-based Burning Barn and Island Slice and heritage brands such as Appleton Estate and Havana Club.
This year's event will give rum enthusiasts some new blends to try including Wildjac, Cihuatan, Diablesse and Three Tides. A specially curated cocktail menu showcasing all the brands will provide a taste sensation for festival-goers.
Anita Champaneri, founder of Birmingham Rum Festival said: "We're delighted that this year we will be supported by the new Bacardi Caribbean Spiced alongside some rums new to the market.
"With a selection of rums and fabulous cocktail blends on offer we are confident there will be something to suit all tastes. Those who fall in love with a drink will be able to take a bottle (or two!) home with them.
"Guests can expect a fun, Caribbean carnival vibe with tasty street food by Santi Kitchen and live music from the Cuban Embassy house band to get you in the mood for summer with salsa, samba and reggae favourites."
Nick Rendall, owner of the Cuban Embassy added: "As usual we will be pulling out all the stops for an exciting day of rum fun. If you're a fan of discovering new rums, this is the place to be! We are looking forward to welcoming people to what promises another spectacular festival."
There will be two sessions for a taste of the tropical - afternoon tickets are from 12pm until 4pm and evening tickets are from 5pm until 9pm with prices starting at just £16.95 and VIP tickets at £28. In addition to a welcome drink and rum sampling, VIP ticket holders will receive a street food meal and the opportunity to taste additional rare and exciting rums. To book tickets click here
