On 22nd January, Birmingham-based fine dining restaurants Land and 670 Grams will collaborate on a special 8-course menu, taking place at Land’s premises.

The menu will offer four courses from each restaurant and all dishes will be plant-based due to Land’s ethos.

Located in Birmingham’s Great Western Arcade, Land describes itself as a modern, plant-focused, casual dining restaurant. Combining vegan recipes with fresh, seasonal ingredients with a fine dining polish, the restaurant received a glowing review in 2020 from Jay Rayner. Land’s menu uses only the freshest seasonal ingredients, with dishes inspired by flavours from around the globe.

Based in The Custard Factory on the Digbeth Estate, 670 Grams is the brainchild of local lad Kray Treadwell, named Best Young Chef of the Year when listed in the 2021 Michelin Guide. The restaurant, named after the weight of Kray’s daughter when she was born, has a downtown LA bar-style setting. The dishes at 670 Grams take in a mix of European influences, Asian-inspired flavours and takeaway food with playful elements.

Kray Treadwell, chef-owner of 670 Grams, said, “I am really excited to announce that 670 Grams will be collaborating with Land for one night only. It’s great to be a part of such a thriving independent hospitality scene and to be able to collaborate with Land is really fun, particularly as we’ll be serving plant-based dishes in line with Land’s menu. Reservations are filling up fast, so make sure you secure your place as soon as possible.

The Land and 670 Grams menu is priced at £70 per person and will take place on Sunday 22nd January.
