Lights, drones, action! Birmingham's skyline is set to dazzle with a mesmerising drone show titled ‘Evolution’ at Edgbaston Stadium on 26 October 2024. Brought to you by the creative masterminds at Celestial, in collaboration with Yuup and Edgbaston Stadium, this event promises an unforgettable evening of wonder and awe for the whole family.

A journey through time and space

'Evolution' is more than just a drone light show - it's an enchanting journey through the history of our universe and the story of life itself. Picture the spectacle of the Big Bang, the rise and fall of the dinosaurs, and the dawn of human civilisation, all narrated with epic storytelling and a cinematic soundtrack. This show celebrates the living world, from single-cell organisms to modern humans, offering a captivating glimpse into our past, present, and future.
 

What to expect

From 17:30 when the gates open, visitors can enjoy a vibrant pre-show atmosphere. The food village, featuring a variety of refreshments from independent traders, will tantalise your taste buds while a live DJ gets the party started. As the anticipation builds, you'll learn about the state-of-the-art drone technology that will power the evening’s spectacular performance.

The main event kicks off at 19:30. Over 600 animated drones will light up the night sky, choreographed to tell an extraordinary story that spans the dawn of time to the present day. This 45-minute show, suitable for all ages, promises to spark imagination and stir the soul with its stunning visuals and compelling story.
