BBC Good Food Show Summer is set to welcome a whole host of culinary stars as the four-day event returns to Birmingham this June.
An impressive roster of Michelin-star chefs, cookery show stars and baking legends will be showcasing their skills at the event in Birmingham - which takes place from 16-19 June at the NEC - giving visitors a fascinating insight into the passion and expertise of some of the UK’s most exciting tastemakers.
In The Big Kitchen, a highlight of the Show, visitors can experience the very best celebrity chefs and experts cooking up a storm live on stage. This year’s star-studded line-up includes 2015’s Great British Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain, Great British Bake Off turned Strictly Come Dancing Star, John Whaite, TV favourite James Martin, Michelin-star chefs Michel Roux and Tom Kerridge, Queen of Baking Dame Mary Berry, MasterChef stars John Torode and Lisa Faulkner and top blogger Jane’s Patisserie.
Joining the Show for the first time will be award-winning TV chef and broadcaster Andi Oliver and Michelin-star chef Paul Ainsworth - who will both be cooking live in The Big Kitchen and creating mouth-watering dishes perfect for the summer months.
Local food hero, Glynn Purnell, is also returning to the Show and will be going head-to-head against Ellis Barrie, for an exclusive cook-off in the Chef Challenge.
For budding chefs-in-the-making, the Let’s Talk Good Food Stage, hosted by Barney Desmazery and featuring BBC Good Food team, is the place to discover the secrets of the UK’s favourite chefs and learn more about the inspiration behind their creations, as well as take part in a fun Q&A session to tackle the trickiest culinary queries.
Brand-new for this summer, the Italian Kitchen, hosted by Chris Blvin, offers the chance to be inspired by top chefs and experts including Gennaro Contaldo, Ravneet Gill, Chef Giovanni Santoro, Joe Hurd and Ruby Bhogal as they stir-up the very best Italian dishes and showcase new ways to make traditional dishes, giving guests plenty of tips and inspiration along the way.
For those looking for a pinch of inspiration, and a slice of something delicious to take home, The Producers’ Village is an unmissable food market at the heart of the Show, hosting small artisan food and drink producers who pride themselves on the quality and provenance of their products.
Visitors to the Village will have the chance to pop by a number of West Midlands-based artisan producers, including Rourke's Pies & Deli, Syl Botanics, Claudias Kitchen Seriously Nice and Hope You’re Hungry!, plus many more These exhibitors, alongside many more, will be present across all four days of the Show, showcasing their produce and giving visitors the perfect opportunity to sample the tastes and flavours of Birmingham’s celebrated food scene.
