Albert’s Schloss Birmingham are set to launch their brand new winter menu from Wednesday 19th October, with a range of Alpine and Bavarian-inspired dishes.

The bar will be hosting a ‘season of winter retreat and rekreation’, with plenty of ‘mountain fun and frolichs’ and an entertainment line-up including Kunst Kabaret, Bertie’s Band, Sunday Service and much more.

Winter in the Cook Haus will see a variety of indulgent dishes being served, with Bäkery items including Pretzel Haus, a Haus pretzel served either plain or as a Cheese & Bacon or Jalapeño Pretzel, each served warm with Haus mustard.

Diners may begin their Alpine feast with dishes such as the Kreuzberg Chicken Lollipops with lime and tamarind relish, Paprika Prawns, crispy coated Stiegl bier battered prawns with paprikash and Frankfurt sauce, French Onion Soup served in a Haus-baked sourdough bowl with melting gruyere or Bier Chilli Ribs, Black Forest spiced pork ribs with bier chilli sauce.

Krokettes are available as either Alpine Four Cheese with pink and green pickles and aioli, Tomato & Chèvre with Alpine goats cheese and sunblush mayo, Ham & Alpine Cheese with Gruyère, pancetta and aioli or as the Krokette Fest, with three of each Krokette to share.

The menu’s Schloss Klassics include Coquille Pretzel Pie with scallop, haddock and prawn in a parmesan cream, served with buttery mash and sautéed cabbage and peas, Fish & Chips, crispy Stiegl bier-battered haddock with triple cooked chips, tartar sauce and mushy peas, and Paprikash Chicken, rubbed and roasted supreme chicken with apple mash, ginger, garlic, tomato, sour cream, smoked paprika, pepper and onion sauce.

Serious meat lovers are able to indulge in the Bavarian Feast, a line-up of Roast pork knuckle, chicken schnitzel, bratwurst, kaiserwurst, chilliwurst, bier chilli ribs and sides of sformato, braised red cabbage, seasonal greens, bier jus, Schloss Sauerkraut and pickles. This is available to share between groups of up to 4.

The Bavarian Bier Palace will also be serving a range of bratwursts, including a Classic with a bun and fries, Bier Halle with Bavarian potatoes, seasonal salat, Schloss sauerkraut and mustard, Bratwurst, smoked pork wiener with Haus mustard, Kaiserwurst, smoked pork and cheddar wiener with Haus mustard and a Vegan Wurst with Haus mustard.

The venue will be serving up a range of burgers, all served on Haus-baked sourdough pretzel buns, including the Cook Haus Cheeseburger, a 7oz chuck, short rib and smoked beef-fat patty, Albert’s burger sauce, pickles, red onion, fondue cheese and fries, the Baron Burger, a 7oz chuck, short rib and smoked beef-fat patty with taleggio cheese, crispy maple bacon, caramelised onion, crispy onion, truffle mayo and fries, the Black Forest Chicken Burger with buttermilk chicken, gouda, rainbow slaw, Russian dressing and fries, and the Vegan Burger with Beyond Meat patty, Albert’s burger sauce, pickles, mustard, red onion, Violife cheese, vegan bun and fries.

Also on offer are the Currywurst Plate, two klassic bratwurst with crispy onions, curry ketchup sauce and fries, and the Sausage Fest, bratwurst sausage, kaiserwurst sausage, chilli beef Frankfurter, Bavarian potato salad, green salad, Schloss sauerkraut, pickles, Haus mustard and curry ketchup.

Alongside their new Winter Wunderland menu, Albert’s Schloss Birmingham will be serving a range of Winter cocktails, Artisan Schnapps, Alpine wine and biers.

The Winter Wunderland drinks menu, which launches on 18th October, will include cocktails such as Black Forest Martini (Sipsmith gin, white cacao, Sangue Morlacco cherry, cranberry, cream and chocolate), Snowflake (Union 55 coconut and pineapple rums, pineapple juice, coconut purée and lime), Elderflower + Wild Raspberry Spritz (Didsbury raspberry and elderflower gin, Chambord, St Germain elderflower liqueur, lemon, raspberry, prosecco and soda), Pilsner Old Fashioned (Haus Pilsner syrup, Woodford Reserve bourbon and bitters) and Black Cherry Kaiser (Monkey 47 gin, Sangue Morlacco, Cocchi vermouth di Torino, black cherry purée, aquafaba and lemon juice).

The venue’s handmade Artisan Schnapps, all uniquely made to authentic recipes guided by the Himbeergeist technique, is available in Raspberry, Salted Caramel, Wild Strawberry, Blood Orange and Cherry + Chocolate, in either single, 5, 10 or 20 shot paddles. Heritage Schnapps, traditional Alpine shots, are also on offer, including Kümmel, Bechorovka and O.P Anderson Aquavit.
