Vitality Blast Finals Day will return to September next summer with fans now able to enter the ballot for tickets to county cricket’s showpiece event of the season.
Edgbaston will host Vitality Blast Finals Day on Saturday 14 September with Somerset looking to defend their title after defeating Essex in the final in front of a sell-out crowd last month.
The move to September has been made due to the impact next June's ICC Men’s T20 World Cup has had on our England Men’s and Women’s home international fixtures. The full men’s and women’s domestic schedule is to be released later this year.
This summer’s Vitality Blast again saw crowd numbers rise with more than 800,000 fans attending matches while the competition enjoyed its second-highest advanced tickets sales ever (up 16% on 2022).
Supporters enjoyed the action outside stadiums too with Somerset’s title-winning success the most viewed Vitality Blast match in over a decade with an average audience of 427,000, while viewership for the quarter-finals and semi-finals were up 64% and 12% respectively on 2022.
Additionally, around 400,000 people watched the ECB’s ‘Friday Night Blast’ YouTube programme throughout the competition.
For the best chance to get tickets to Finals Day, supporters can enter the Edgbaston ticket ballot at: www.edgbaston.com/ballot
The ticket refund window for any fans who have already purchased tickets will run from Wednesday 30 August 2023 until midnight on Wednesday 6 September 2023.
