The 2024 City Nature Challenge is back! 🤩
Join us as we take part in the City Nature challenge along with about 500 other city areas across the world!
The City Nature Challenge is an annual competition between cities worldwide to see how many wild species can be spotted over the space of four days.
From bugs to badgers, The Gardens is a home for many living things – what signs of wildlife will you find?!
🐛🦆🪲🦊🕷️
As part of the global Challenge we are holding a BioBlitz event at Birmingham Botanical Gardens on Sunday 28 April. Join BBG's Conservation Ranger, Sila, and the Birmingham and Black Country Wildlife Trust and Eco Records for a series of exciting wildlife recording sessions throughout the day. Using different specialist conservation techniques, we will try and find bugs, mammals, birds and insects to help towards Birmingham and the Black Country's total wildlife count.
