ITV Tour de France commentator Matt Rendell joins us for a special evening on the eve of the 2024 Tour de France, sharing stories from his 25 years' covering the race – and his dealings with cycling's big names from Eddy Merckx to Bradley Wiggins, Mark Cavendish to Chris Froome.
Matt's live shows delight audiences with a mix of first-hand experiences of the biggest races on the calendar, bizarre/hilarious personal stories and thought-provoking ideas about the future of the sport. Is a rider from a Colombian village making it to the Tour de France really comparable to man landing on the Moon? Why wouldn't Matt want to have dinner with Eddy Merckx? How do Matt's rapid post-race interviews compare to his in-depth investigative writing that routinely earns him death threats?
Matt Rendell will be in conversation with former Procycling magazine writer Duncan Steer. There will be a chance to ask your own questions.
