The food line-up at Mell Square is growing this spring with a new concept from Michelin-star chef, Rob Palmer. Fine-dining eatery, Toff’s, will offer a tasting menu of up to seven courses and will feature modern British cuisine guided by the seasons to ensure the freshest produce.

The intimate venue, located on Drury Lane, will seat up to 26 guests and is a new venture from local chef Rob Palmer who previously led Hampton Manor to its first Michelin star. With seasonal produce at the core of the menu, the meat, fish and vegetables will all be sourced locally, and the dishes will showcase an array of modern flavours and top quality produce for a unique culinary experience.

Rob said: “Solihull town centre has a good range of independent eating houses from street food, brasseries, East and West Asian to Italian but currently lacks a tasting experience like the one we will offer. My plan is to bring an independent fine-dining restaurant to Solihull and push the food scene here even further.”

Councillor Ian Courts, Leader of Solihull Council, said: “I am pleased to welcome Rob Palmer’s new restaurant to Mell Square and see our brilliant food and drink offering expand even further. Toffs will be a perfect fit alongside our existing independents and offer a new dining concept for our visitors, one which I hope many people will get to experience.”

The restaurant features classy, industrial-chic decor and will be open for lunch Thursday to Saturday and dinner Tuesday to Saturday. Toffs plans to start taking bookings this month, with an official opening expected for mid-March. To book your table, visit www.toffsbyrobpalmer.com or follow Toffs on Instagram @toffsbyrobpalmer.
