Swinfen Hall Hotel

About

Swinfen Hall Hotel is a luxury mansion situated in a magnificent 100-acre estate of landscaped gardens and private deer park. With 5 meeting rooms, bar, lounge and 17 bedrooms it is an ideal location for meetings and events.

Swinfen Hall Hotel is situated at the heart of the Midlands easily accessible by road, rail and air. Junction T4 of the M6 toll road is 1/2 mile away, as is the A5 interchange which leads east to the M42 (8 miles). Birmingham International Airport (15 miles) can be reached via the M42 south and the East Midlands Airport (28 miles) can be reached via the M42 north. Lichfield mainline railway station is two miles away.

Swinfen Hall Hotel is a magnificent Grade II* listed 18th-century manor house, set in 100 acres of rolling parkland including a 45-acre deer park and lying two miles south of Lichfield on the A38. It is a prestigious venue offering luxury accommodation and an award winning, 3 AA rosette restaurant. The hotel is the only AA Inspector’s Choice 4 red star hotel in Staffordshire. The hotel provides a sanctuary for its guests – the perfect place to stay whether you are visiting the area for business or pleasure. The hotel combines traditional grandeur with well-maintained, modern amenities including free wi-fi access, air conditioning and ipod docking stations in all the bedrooms. The hotel is also a popular venue for conferences, meetings, weddings and other special occasions.

In 2003, we embarked on a 10-year countryside stewardship scheme run by DEFRA to help us develop the land in an environmentally responsible way. We established the deer park, planted 600 metres of hedgerows, re-stocked the park with oak, beech and horse-chestnut trees, created a scrape to encourage wetland birds and started to restore the Victorian walled garden. In 2015, we installed an electric car charging point and attained the Staffordshire Environmental quality mark. We are continuing our programme of energy conservation and eco-friendly policies and became a member of Green Tourism in 2019. As a hotel we have a huge responsibility to do more on single use plastics, and offer fully sustainable solutions where possible to support the Eco/Green/Plastic free concept

All 17 bedrooms and suites are individually furnished and offer bathrobes, hospitality tray, satellite television, free wi-fi and private secure free parking. The extensive grounds and gardens can be used for outdoor corporate activities such as archery, clay pigeon shooting and private use of the games room. The Estate is being re-developed into a five-star luxury estate from 2023, in the meantime the hotel is open for exclusive use, conferences, meetings, private dining and weddings.
