About

On Monday evenings, an affordable Prix Fixe menu of four courses for £30 (with optional add-ons) will be available

Tuesday- Friday, choose from a small plate menu with no less than twelve dishes on offer. You can order as many or as few dishes as you fancy, the choice is yours! The menu varies daily so it's best to check prior to visiting.

Riverine Rabbit was envisioned by Ash and her sister, Mandy, in Cape Town, South Africa. Ash, drawing inspiration from her extensive travels and Cordon Bleu training, took charge of the kitchen, while Mandy expertly managed the front of the house and curated an exclusively South African wine list.

The significance of the name Riverine Rabbit holds a deep familial connection, rooted in two elements. Firstly, it pays homage to the family's ties to the Karoo Desert, home to the elusive rabbit. Secondly, it reflects an ongoing commitment to promoting sustainable farming practices, striving to prevent the extinction of such species.

Despite the restaurant's geographical shift, its core philosophy remains unwavering. Ash dedicates time to build connections with local and UK-based farmers, producers, and purveyors. This ensures that Riverine Rabbit sources ingredients with a focus on sustainability and respect.

Adding another dimension to the team is Erin, the co-owner, who wears two hats as a Materials Scientist during the day and the Front of House Manager by night. Together, the team at Riverine Rabbit is driven by a shared passion for culinary excellence, sustainability, and a deep respect for the environment.
