The Night Owl proudly presents
The AC30s!
"The greatest Tribute to Ska, Reggae and Rocksteady you are likely to hear" - Ska Radio UK
The AC30's are a 7 piece experienced and highly professional band based in the Midlands with a vast knowledge of the music they play. Concentrating on original Jamaican Ska, Rocksteady and Reggae genres (with a dash on 2-Tone here and there), they pride themselves on being true to the original recordings.
The band are also proud to have been the backing band for chart topper Susan Cadogan ('Hurt So Good' 1975 ,' Fever' etc), Carroll Thompson ('I'm So Sorry', 'Hopelessly in Love' 1981), Troy Ellis (Son of Alton Ellis), the U.K touring band of Stranger Cole ('Uno Dos Tres', 'Bangaran', 'Rough and Tough') and Alpheus, Derrick Morgan, Dave Barker and Roy & Yvonne.
With a set list comprising of The Blues Busters, Pluto Shervington, The Skatalites, Prince Buster, John Holt, Max Romeo, Ken Boothe, Jimmy Cliff, Alton Ellis, Toots and The Maytells to name but a few along with original material, audiences find it hard keeping off the dance floor!
Members of the band have separately recorded and played live with Ken Boothe, Jimmy Cliff, Wyclef Jean, Black Uhuru, Bad Manners, the UB40 brass section and The Beat Ft Rankin Rogers to name a few.
Whether you are a hardened 2-Tone fan, Reggae lover or into the old Rocksteady beats of Jamaica, the AC30's are proven to cover them all and keep everyone happy.
