About

A 2 mile, 2 hour walking tour covering the main sights of Birmingham with loads of photo opportunities and more than a third of the route strolling alongside the canals. You'll get an understanding of the story of this great city from its humble medieval origins through its explosion as the Workshop of the World to the modern diverse city of today. The route is carefully designed to maximise the amount of the city centre you can experience over a manageable distance.

The tour includes St Martin's church, Selfridges, St Philip's cathedral, Symphony Hall/Convention Centre, Library of Birmingham, Hall of Memory, Chamberlain memorial, Art Gallery/Council House, Town Hall and many squares, fountains, canals and bridges.

“We have done quite a few [tours] across the world and rated this as one of the best”

Your guide was born and bred in the city and can provide a local’s perspective, offer plenty of recommendations and tips for further exploration and even teach you to talk like a Brummie. Our tours prioritise a friendly and welcoming experience where you can meet like minded explorers whilst enjoying a fun activity.

Children under 11 go free, kids activity cards are provided to make the tour fun for youngsters.

Book online at www.explorebirmingham.uk

The tour involves steps and slopes and is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs, there are some uneven surfaces but it's suitable for anyone of an average fitness level. There are toilets in the Bullring shopping centre where we start but there are none on the route. We finish in Victoria Square in the centre of the city just a 5 minute walk from the starting point and your guide will happily escort you back there if you wish. The tour is completely outside and we don't go into any of the buildings.

Private tours are available at a time to suit you and may work out cheaper for a larger group, please enquire for more details - contact@explorebirmingham.uk
