XOYO Birmingham Launches Packed Live Music Programme For Jan-May 2024

The second city’s newest and most sought-after music venue, XOYO Birmingham, has revealed a massive programme of live music events to the end of Spring 2024. Staged under the banner of XOYO:LIVE, the venue has released details of top-quality performances from international touring talents to exciting, emerging artists, from January until May, as it continues to dedicate itself to elevating the live music scene in Birmingham for music fans seeking top tier acts and a vibrant atmosphere. 

Upcoming highlights at the increasingly popular Digbeth hotspot include the renowned Slam Dunk festival, which touches down on 27 Jan with its Winter Jam Tour, featuring an alternative mix of pop-punk, rock and emo talent in Zebrahead, Teenage Bottlerocket, Spunge and many more. 

Another hot ticket event comes on 21 Feb with the arrival of the longstanding, elusive UK-rap figurehead, CASISDEAD, and on 12 Apr when Sheffield-based classic soul, hip-hop, and jazz re-interpreters, Dreamflower Collective touch down in Brum.

Live music fans will be further delighted by this diverse live music programme, which also includes appearances from American metalcore outfit, Currents (19 Feb); Brighton rock four-piece, YONAKA (21 Mar); Liverpool’s finest The Zutons (16 Apr) who are gearing up for the April release of their first album in 16 years - produced by Nile Rodgers; and the alternative songwriting talents of Nadine Shah (21 May) who too promotes a new album, ‘Filthy Underneath’ signed to EMI North. 

Live shows take place in the XOYO Main Room, boasting a capacity of 700 for live events. It has already staged a number of standout events during its opening autumn-winter 2023 programme, including The Royston Club, Passenger,  Stray From The Path, BC Camplight, The Lottery Winners, Sundara Karma, As December Falls, D12  and Wargasm.

The XOYO Main Room offers a unique advantage in Birmingham's live music landscape as it bridges the gap between smaller, intimate venues and larger, more impersonal spaces. This up-close and personal experience is unlike anything in the city today, allowing performers to feel the energetic crowd atmosphere and vice versa. 

XOYO Birmingham encompasses five standalone venues - the XOYO Main Room, open-air spaces ‘The Roof Garden’ and ‘The Yard’, plus further spaces ‘A/V’ and ‘The Factory’ - hosting up to 2,500 music lovers.
