Peppa Pig trots to Botanical Gardens

Children will be amazed as they see their favourite cheeky little piggies come to life in Birmingham this summer.

The lovable Peppa Pig and her little brother, George will join the Birmingham Botanical Gardens on Wednesday 19 August. The pair will be making appearances at intervals throughout the day providing plenty of opportunities for children to meet them and take photos.

The BAFTA award winning television series has been enchanting children since 2004. Peppa Pig and George, who are friends with many different animals, will feel at home amongst the gardens resident wildlife that include butterflies in the seasonal Butterfly House, various species of birds in the aviary and the Botanical Garden’s pet cat, Meow.

James Wheeler, chief executive of Birmingham Botanical Gardens said:

We’re so pleased to be welcoming Peppa Pig and George to our gardens. We know that the summer holidays can be a hectic time for families and there’s no better way to keep the kids entertained than with some of their favourite characters.
Our gardens are filled with attractions whether it’s our four glasshouses, aviaries or seasonal Butterfly House. We’re gearing up for a summer of family-friendly events and as well as Peppa, we’ll be welcoming internal performers for a circus show and hosting a teddy bears’ picnic in August.”

Peppa Pig and George will be visiting Birmingham Botanical Gardens at intervals between 11am – 3pm on Wednesday 19 August.

Admission tickets cost £25, which includes entry to the gardens and six months’ membership from August 2015 – January 2016. Ticket admission covers two adults with three children or one adult with four children. The event is free to current members.
