Jocelyn Brown Brings the Power Back to the Jam House
Get ready to feel the power as soulful songstress Jocelyn Brown will be rocking the iconic stage at Birmingham’s Jam House later this this month.
The multi-talented recording artist is set to perform on Wednesday 21st October and will be bringing a repertoire of dance classics to the venue in the heart of Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.
Throughout her illustrious career, Jocelyn has developed an impressive portfolio working with music titans such as Luther Vandross, Bette Midler, John Lennon, Quincy Jones, Michael Jackson, Roberta Flack, and George Benson to name just a few.
Starting out at the age of three, Jocelyn kickstarted her career doing gigs with her family and singing at Church. She garnered national recognition with the release of her debut album for Warner Brothers Records in 1984 with her hit “One From The Heart.” Jocelyn then collaborated with various producers and was featured on eight powerful tracks which included hits like “Love’s Gonna Get You” and the legendary club classic “Somebody Else’s Guy,” which was written by Jocelyn and her sister Annette.
Aside from Jocelyn’s star status in the music industry, she has also conquered the world of jingles. She is noted as being of New York City’s premier jingle artists and has produced nationally recognised radio campaigns for McDonalds, Burger King, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Vicks Nyquil, Bell Atlantic, Coca Cola, American Express, and many more.
John Bunce, general manager at the Jam House, said:
Jocelyn is a force to be reckon with. Her powerhouse vocals will send shivers down your spine and will make you get up and dance. This is must-see at the Jam House and will be a night to remember. Due to popular demand, I suggest you buy you tickets now and dust off those dance shoes!
