Hola! The Arcadian to host Hispanic-style food event

Visitors to the The Arcadian in Birmingham this Friday (August 14) will be swinging to Latin beats and enjoying authentic Spanish cuisine when the vibrant centre hosts the next instalment of its Foodie Fridays events.

Street Food INC is bringing Paella Paella and Churros Susanna to the centre, which is in Southside, tempting visitors with their delicious Hispanic flavours, while DJ Sabroso from Jam Radio will be providing the best Latin tunes.

There will also be Latin dance workshop sessions throughout the event, which takes place between 4pm and 9pm.

Lina Higuita, centre manager at The Arcadian, which is owned and managed by London & Cambridge Properties, said:

It’s the first time we’ve hosted a themed dining event and we’re excited by the prospect of transforming the centre into a Latin-inspired fiesta."

Other street food vendors will be in attendance on Friday, including Sticky Fig, which offers high quality street food such as pulled pork, Cajun chicken, smoked barbecue beef flat ribs, and chilli baked beans.

Southside residents such as Le Truc, Chung Ying and Caffé Chino will also be serving up some tasty treats to visitors.

Foodie Friday events are among a host of activities taking place at The Arcadian and Southside this summer. On August bank holiday (August 29-30), Birmingham Hippodrome’s Summer in Southside returns to the city, with a host of entertainers performing in and around the area. Friday 25th September will see Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations take over The Arcadian, marking the largest event in the Chinese calendar after annual new year celebrations.
