Dance Floor Diva Joyce Sims Rocks the Jam House

Get your dancing shoes ready as 80’s dance floor diva Joyce Sims will be rocking the iconic stage at Birmingham’s Jam House later this this month.

The multi-talented recording artist is set to perform on Thursday 20th August and will be bringing the glitterball disco vibe to the venue in the heart of Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.

Joyce, who first hit the charts in 1986 with the classic club anthem “(You are my) All and All,” was an instant hit with music fans and her debut album “Come Into My Life” went gold in the UK, selling over half a million copies.

The dance diva, who writes all her own songs and is a trained pianist, has enjoyed continued success and her top two singles “Come into my life” and “All and All” are notorious club classics that are frequently heard across dancefloors today. Joyce’s music has also been sampled by a diverse range of musical icons including jazz vocalist Randy Crawford, R&B singer Angie Stone and rapper Snoop Dogg.

Following the success of her Top 40 single "Running Back to You/Back in Love" in 2012, Joyce released her 6th album “Love Song” last year, proving that her music is still as much of a success as when her career began almost thirty years ago.

John Bunce, general manager at the Jam House, said:

Joyce is an amazing artist to have performing at the Jam House. Her international success validates what an outstanding artist she is, I am very excited that she is performing and bringing a piece of 80’s dance back into Birmingham. It’s going to be an incredible night.

The Jam House is an iconic music venue in Birmingham, providing an intimate atmosphere for live performances and tribute bands, both past and present. It has earned a reputation as one of the most distinguished music scenes in Birmingham, fetching large audiences week upon week with a magnitude of artists and genres.

Joyce Sims is performing at The Jam House on Thursday 20th August. Tickets cost £8 and are available from http://www.thejamhouse.com. Follow the venue on twitter @TheJamHouse or on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/TheJamHouse
