Celebrate the new Mailbox

As the doors to the new Mailbox open at 10am on Thursday 22nd October, the celebration continues into the weekend with an exclusive programme of events and offers.

For the first time on Thursday 22nd October at 12.30pm, and throughout the weekend, a series of specially choreographed dances will bring the newly unveiled Urban Room to life. Created by critically acclaimed dancer and choreographer Rosie Kay, visitors will be able to immerse themselves in the captivating tango and ballet inspired performances, alongside music performed by ensembles from the Birmingham Conservatoire.

There’s nothing like Friday night at the Mailbox, and it’s set to be made even more beautiful on Friday 23rd October with the exclusive Mailbox Cocktail Trail. For one night only, we’re giving you the chance to enjoy some of the Mailbox’s most popular bars. With specially created cocktails inspired by the Mailbox available for just £5 each, Everyman Mailbox, Gas Street Social, Aluna, Bar Epernay, Pennyblacks, Malmaison and Strada will be tempting you with their signature creations.

Visitors to the Mailbox throughout the Celebration Weekend will also have the chance to win an exciting prize, simply by taking a picture in front of our specially created scene inside the Mailbox. Côte Brasserie will fly you and your guest for a two-night stay in the beautiful French capital, where you can explore designer boutiques, gastronomic delights, art galleries, or simply watch the world go by from one of the many chic street-side cafes. One lucky runner-up will also win an exclusive Mailbox experience, combining a series of incredible prizes from some of the Mailbox’s most popular venues.

The celebration continues into the weekend, as the exclusive Mailbox Sessions on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th October showcase the very best of the Mailbox. From fashion and style to beauty and pampering, art and cinema to food and drink, panel discussions with the experts and interactive demonstrations provide the ultimate insight into some of the Mailbox’s most popular shops, salons, bars and restaurants.

With sessions including an insight into ‘The Art of Style’ with Harvey Nichols, featuring Grazia’s fashion editor, Hannah Almassi, and a lesson in ‘Bringing Your Home to Life’ with Castle Fine Art, the Mailbox Sessions are free, but strictly limited to ticket holders.

There’s also the chance to learn the latest party hair trends in ‘Styling Secrets’ with Nicky Clarke, ‘The Art of Beauty’ with some of Harvey Nichols’ most popular beauty concessions, and top tips for finding the perfect tailored suit from Gieves & Hawkes.

As the new Mailbox showcases the best of Life Made Beautiful, one hundred Beautiful Moments are set to surprise visitors throughout the Celebration Weekend. Demonstrating the beauty in the everyday, from random acts of kindness to little surprises that put a smile on your face, there could be a surprise waiting for you at the Mailbox.
