About

Grand Union is a gallery and artists’ studios complex in Digbeth, Birmingham. It is a welcoming organisation, bringing the public closer to art and artists. It hosts a free programme of public exhibitions and events, with many opportunities for discussion and the sharing of ideas.

Grand Union supports learning, creating numerous contexts for art and life to intersect. Its work places an emphasis on the importance of collaboration and artistic research. Many of these projects take place outside of the gallery, across the city.

Grand Union provides high quality, affordable studios for visual artists in the heart of a supportive creative community, with frequent opportunities for members of the public to visit behind the scenes.

Limited parking is available at Minerva Works, disabled spaces are available.
There are paid parking options close by in Digbeth.

Public Transport Directions

Grand Union is an approximately 20 minute walk from New Street Station and a 15 minute walk from Moor Street Station. Please be aware that the top of Fazeley street is closed, walk to the gallery via Bordesley Street or Digbeth High Street.


Grand Union gallery is near Digbeth High street, where the coach station and various bus routes are located.
