Anglo Welsh's canal boat hire base at Tardebigge

About

Located in an idyllic setting in rural Worcestershire, its the perfect place to start a leisurely cruise through Shakespeare country, or a lock free trip into the heart of Birmingham.

Ideal for first-times and seasoned boaters alike, you can relax and enjoy the outstanding natural beauty of the 'Heart of England'. Take your time on gentle 'there-and-back' cruises to Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick or Worcester. Or try the Stourport Ring - a fantastic mix of all things boating - locks, tunnels, canals and a short river section. From the historic Gas Street Basin in Birmingham City Centre, to rural retreats in the Worcestershire countryside, there are some great attractions to see along the way.

There are short breaks to suit all tastes.  Moor up in Birmingham where there are more canals than Venice! Or escape city life, with a cruise to Lapworth on the Stratford Canal - a gorgeous rural cruise with plenty of canalside pubs serving great food.

There's a great choice of boats available to hire from Tardebigge, ranging from cosy narrowboats for two, up to larger boats for up to 12 people.

We also offer day boat hire from Tardebigge. Our day boat Emma has space for up to 10 people and day boat hire starts at just £99 per day.

You can cruise through the countryside to Alvechurch and back, where there's a choice of canalside pubs to stop off at.

Our day boat Emma is also available to hire over-night, offering the chance to cruise into the centre of Birmingham for the night.  There's overnight accommodation on board for a couple. It takes around five hours to reach over-night moorings in Gas Street Basin, close to Brindleyplace.
