Supersonic Festival

About

“Supersonic reasserts itself as the best European festival for new music
The Quietus

Starting as a one-day event in Birmingham in 2003, Supersonic Festival, curated and produced by Capsule , is an internationally renowned experimental music and arts festival. Occupying an exalted position at the heart of Birmingham’s cultural life, as well as attracting an international audience.

Supersonic Festival has been named as the UK’s premier experimental music festival, with rave reviews from The Independent, Arts Desk and The Quietus to name but a few, and topping The Guardian’s Guide to the best experimental music festivals in Europe. Bringing together live performances by some of the worlds most extraordinary artists, visual art, and audience participation to create a legendary one-of-a-kind festival. It takes place alongside a year-round programme of live events, exhibitions and kids gigs which present the highest quality new work in ways you least expect.

Produced by Capsule,  a producer and champion of experimental music and art. We craft extraordinary new work for curious audiences.

A deeply experimental weekend but also a genuinely accessible one too. During a period in which many line-ups of alternative festivals are becoming increasingly uniform, Supersonic brightly stands out as a true alternative to the alternative..”
The Independent

Following a sell-out 20th anniversary edition last year, gaining the festival another 5* review from The Guardian, Supersonic Festival is back. Weekend tickets are now on sale offering a weekend of phenomenal experimental and DIY music, workshops, and talks.
