Summer in Southside

Birmingham Hippodrome, Hurst Street, BIRMINGHAM, West Midlands, B5 4TB
Summer in Southside

About

Birmingham Hippodrome’s weekend festival heads back to the carefree days of childhood with FREE fun for kids of all ages.

The streets around the theatre will be transformed into a summer playground, where you can enjoy…
• Pop-up performances
• Craft workshops
• Retro games
• Picnic park
• Face-painting
• Auditorium tours
• Street food
• Family activities

Blast off into space this summer!

This year, the FREE family festival goes intergalactic and explores the spectacle and wonders of outer space.

Celebrating 50 years since the first moon landings, the streets of Southside around the theatre will be transformed into a lunar landscape for a whole weekend packed with performances, installations and extra-terrestrial antics from a list of ‘out of this world’ acts.

Recruit your space-crew (family and friends will do) and head down to our launchpad for a spot of summer stargazing in the city!
