October Rocket-Fuelled Half-Term at the British Motor Museum

British Motor Museum, Banbury Road,, Gaydon, Gaydon, Warwickshire, CV35 0BJ
October Rocket-Fuelled Half-Term at the British Motor Museum

This October half-term at the British Motor Museum we're asking the question Where's Wally? and having fun with Rocket Science! We've come up with a range of COVID safe activities for you to enjoy during your visit, including a family tour to help you explore the Museum via your mobile device and an activity bag to take home!

Where's Wally? Spooky Museum Search!
You and your family can join the search for Wally at the Museum this half term. We're part of the national Where's Wally? Spooky Museum Search, organised by Kids in Museums and Walker Books, to celebrate the release of the new Where's Wally? book, Spooky Spotlight Search. Search the Museum to find the 8 mini Wally standees. Pick up an activity sheet and get a spooky bookmark if you can spell out the spooky phrase - please bring a pen/pencil!

Rocket-Fuelled Family Science Shows
Every day at 11.30am, 12.30pm & 1.30pm
No shows on Wednesday 28 October
Pickle and Pumpkin are back for some rocket-fuelled fun science! Join us for a 25 minute live spooky spectacular full of cool interactive demonstrations and rocket inspired science. Shows are taking place in a large conference room with plenty of space for social distancing.

Rocket Workshop with MOD Kineton
Wednesday 28 October, 11am - 3pm
Design and build a rocket and see how far it flies from the pneumatic rocket launcher. This activity is delivered by the STEM ambassadors from MOD Kineton. We are sorry but you cannot take these rockets home with you. These activities are suitable for ages 5 years and over with adult supervision.
Please note: This activity is dependent on the availability of MOD Kineton which may, in light of COVID-19, change at short notice.

Family Tour
When you arrive at the Museum entrance look out for our Family Tour QR code to help you explore the collection with our team!

Activity Bags
Due to COVID-19 we can't do all the normal hands-on activities that we enjoy, so instead we have a special pressure rocket activity bag for you to take home. The bag includes the instructions and materials. You just need a launcher in the form of a milk carton. See how high it goes!

NOTE: All activities are included in Museum admission. Activities are suitable for 3+ years, unless otherwise specified. Activity bags are subject to availability.
