Mr B

About

Mr.B The Gentleman Rhymer brings his ongoing quest to reconnect Hip-Hop with manners and the Queen's English to Birmingham!

Mr.B has taken Chap-Hop to the four corners of the world, from its humble beginnings in Surrey to Europe, the U.S, Japan and even the Arctic circle. Nowhere is safe from his music hall gentrification!

With his trusty banjolele in hand, Mr.B pontificates upon such important subjects as Cricket, high society, pipe smoking, occasion-appropriate footwear, the Corinthian spirit, the current state of hip-hop and the correct time to arrive at an orgy.

All this alongside interpretations from the golden ages of rap, rave and indie and some old folk songs to boot!

Mr.B has built a reputation as a must-see live act at festivals about the UK and elsewhere and has gained a growing and dedicated following, including some highprofile politicians who will remain nameless, even though the result was his historic appearance on Newsnight.

Do come and join the Dandy Revolution!

'There is no other act quite like him.' The Public Reviews

'An upbeat hour of cleverly twisted rap at its most inoffensive...It's difficult to beat the 30-years-of-hip-hop-condensed-into-five-minutes medley.' This is Cabaret

'Genius...he is justified in proclaiming himself a 'maestro of the ukulele'. Edinburgh Spotlight

'He positively pops with infectious energy...hilarious, original, rapid-fire material, delivered in a signature upper-class cadence. Go, see.' The Herald
