Learn about the history of The Coffin Works and development of The Jewellery Quarter. Why did this area go from a being a country estate to an industrial wonderland?

During this time it was variously called the "First Manufacturing Town in the World", "The Toyshop of Europe" and "The Best Governed City in the World". During the day we will: explore some of the events and people that led to these descriptions; scratch the surface of why the Jewellery Quarter developed and finally discover the extraordinary history of Newman Brothers at the Coffin Works.
