Join us on a tour behind the scenes of our TV and radio studios, including Midlands Today, BBC WM and if you're lucky, the studio which is home to the longest running soap opera in the world, The Archers (production schedules permitting).
Learn about the groundbreaking and award-winning BBC Three, and discover what it takes to put together high quality news bulletins every day and how BBC radio drama is made. You can even have a go at making your very own radio play which we send you as a memento following your visit!
A tour at BBC Birmingham offers visitors young and old the exclusive chance to gain access to the rarely seen world behind the scenes of some of your favourite shows - so book your ticket now.
BBC Birmingham is located in city centre inside The Mailbox, just off Queensway (A38). If driving please use the main Mailbox public pay-and-park car park. The height restriction for this car park is 2.05m. The BBC is situated on level 7 but be aware that not all lifts go to level 7. Some go to level 5, from there take the escalator up to level 7.
By Coach: Parking minibuses and coaches is available at the front of The Mailbox building and MUST be booked in advance by calling Birmingham City Council with the registration number and vehicle details. Coach parties larger than 17 can be accommodated with advance notice, please call for details. By Rail: The nearest railway station to the Mailbox is Birmingham New Street. Exit New Street Station from the Victoria Square entrance/exit. Turn left at the exit and walk down Navigation Street, crossing over the pedestrian crossing at the junction with Hill Street. Continue down Navigation Street and walk under the Suffolk Street Queensway road bridge, following the painted lines on the path which will direct you to the Mailbox. Mailbox Square is directly in front of you once you walk under the road bridge. This walk should take approximately 5 minutes.
