Competition Terms and Conditions
 

  1. A one-night Safari Lodges stay in a Hippo Lodge, for up to five people.
  2. No additional travel, parking and accommodation expenses are included.
  3. The prize is valid for the specific venues and events only and cannot be exchanged for any others.
  4. This competition is open to UK residents only and entrants must be 18 years of age or over. When contacted the prize winner may be asked to provide proof of age as winners may be asked for age identification
  5. Employees connected with this promotion from West Midlands Growth Company, any employees of third-party prize suppliers and promotional agencies and their families are excluded from taking part in this prize draw
  6. The closing date for entries is 23:59 (GMT) on 13 February 2024
  7. Winners will be picked at random and notified via email by 14 February 2025
  8. Any additional costs incurred over and above the value of the prizes must be paid for by the prize winner
  9. No purchase is necessary to enter this competition. No multiple entries allowed
  10. The prizes are as stated in these terms and conditions and no cash or other alternatives will be awarded, except that in the event of circumstances outside of its control the Promoter reserves the right to substitute alternatives of equal or greater value
  11. Unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Promoter, prizes will only be available directly to the winning entrant
  12. The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into

  15. The Prize is as stated, non-negotiable, non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for any cash alternatives in whole or in part. Hippo Lodge Terms and Conditions

  • The prize: A one-night Safari Lodges stay in a Hippo Lodge, for up to five people.
  • Valid for one occasion, for one night, for five people, until 23rd December 2025. The lodge stay must be booked and taken before the expiry date listed.
  • You must be over 18 to make a booking. There must be at least one adult (18+) staying in each Lodge.
  • Add-ons can be purchased and are extra in all cases.
  • Please check opening dates and times before travelling.
  • The lodge stay does not include any special packages, such as Valentine's Day, Christmas packages, or VIP packages.
  • Arrival and during your stay: Check in time to the lodge is 2.00pm, you can check in at Lodge Reception from the Park opening, to receive your wristbands to enter the park and Safari Drive admission ticket, as well as leaving your bags to be delivered up to the lodge.You can see opening times at www.wmsp.co.uk
     

Credit/Debit Card Pre-Authorisation Policy:

  • A pre-authorisation is a temporary hold of a specific amount of the available balance on a credit or debit card that is provided upon check-in. The pre-authorisation is not a charge and no funds will be debited from your account.
  • Upon checking in guests will need to provide a valid credit or debit card for pre-authorisation. The amount that we pre-authorise is £100 per lodge per night. When you give us a credit/debit card, the pre-authorisation guarantees us that the funds are available to pay for any charges incurred during your stay. A ‘pre-authorisation’ is not a charge. The guests’ issuing bank/credit card company holds the pre-authorised amount temporarily from the available balance of the card holder’s account. When you give us a credit/debit card, the pre-authorisation guarantees us that the funds are available to pay for any charges incurred. Charges could include; use of the mini-bar and purchases, damages to the lodge and replacement to missing items, including the lodge key.
  • Charges will be calculated on check-out and either discussed with the guest prior to departure or by email after your departure. If no charges are incurred the amount authorised will be released back to your card, normally taking 5-7 working days, by your own bank or credit card company. Some issuing banks and building societies may take longer specially for cards issued outside of the United Kingdom.
  • If you have any queries or problems regarding the pre-authorisation after check-out, please contact your issuing bank/credit card company. West Midlands Safari Park accepts no responsibility for any bank or credit card charges should your account become overdrawn as a result of this.
  • We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of replacing any items that are removed from the premises by them without consent. The charge will be the full replacement amount of the missing item, including any carriage charges. We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of rectifying damage, caused by the deliberate, negligent or reckless act of the guest to the Safari Lodges’ property or structure. Should this damage come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to the guest’s credit/debit card, or send an invoice for the amount to the registered address. We will however make every effort to rectify any damage internally, prior to contracting specialists to make the repairs and, therefore, will make every effort to keep any costs that the guest would incur to a minimum.
  • The costs of charges will include a £50 charge for lost keys to the lodge. Damage or missing decorations and furniture can be charged up to a few hundred pounds, depending on the missing/damaged items.
