Family Events: Go Outdoors at MAC this summer

After 14 months of closure, Midlands Arts Centre is back with a jam-packed programme of live events, from family favourites to sundown cinema and music gigs. Join MAC in a summer to remember and support your local independent arts centre.

From the producers of The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show and Sarah and Duck Live on Stage comes another enchanting show for young audiences. Expect mischief, music and plenty of surprises as they share the delight of discovery. With beautifully inventive puppetry the show promises a cast full of all your favourite characters from the hit TV show.

Sarah and Duck's Big Top Birthday

The enchanting world of Sarah and Duck is brought to life featuring the wonderful characters from the BAFTA award-winning CBeebies show. The Greenhouse

Come and join Peppina and Pimpernell on the magical journey into the senses of plants. Using dance, spoken word, music and installation two performers introduce young audiences to basic plant biology - exploring some of the wonderful things that plants are capable of doing.

Horrible Histories: Vile Victorians & Gorgeous Georgians

Are you ready to swing with a Georgian king? Can you see eye to eye with Admiral Nelson? Does the Duke of Wellington get the boot? Dare you dance the Tyburn jig? Will you be saved by Florence Nightingale? Find out what a baby farmer did and move to the groove with party Queen Victoria! Don’t miss this horrible history of Britain with the nasty bits left in!

Oddsocks: The Comedy of Errors

Slapstick, music and outrageous characters in a family friendly, fun adaptation of a Shakespeare classic. A servant and master from far off Syracuse arrive in Ephesus in search of their long-lost twin brothers. A summer delight not to be missed!

Morgan & West: The Three Musketeers

Sharpen your swords, lace up your boots, and stick a great big feather in your hat - it’s time for adventure! Morgan & West present a fun-for-all-the-family retelling of Alexandre Dumas’ The Three Musketeers. A cavalcade of whimsy, wit, and (s)wordplay, all deftly performed in the great outdoors.

The Noise Next Door: Run Wild!

It’s time for YOU to take control in the comedy show where anything can happen. The pandemic has been especially hard for new parents, with playgroups, in-person support and meetings with other parents taken away. Autin Dance Theatre: Out of the Deep Blue
