Beverley Knight and The Dualers are the first support acts to be announced in support of Britain’s most successful reggae band, UB40, as they return to the West Midlands for a huge outdoor live show at Sandwell Valley Country Park on 1st August.

Beverley Knight is one of the UK’s best loved soulful voices with a stunning career over the last 25 years culminating in an MBE7 top 20 albums (including 4 top 10s), and starring West End roles in The BodyguardCats and more. The Wolverhampton born artist will be welcomed back to home turf for this huge event. The Dualers are the South London ska and reggae band known for their incredible live performances. They announced their arrival in 2004, crashing into the UK top 30 with ‘Kiss On The Lips’ with zero industry support. Since then, they’ve toured with Madness and been a mainstay in the ska and reggae scene. These two acts are a perfect addition to this spectacular showcase of UB40’s long list of smash hits. Beverley Knight and The Dualers add even more of a festival feel to this all-day summer event which will also include fairground rides, a delicious range of local independent street food traders and much more. Tickets are available starting from just £40 + booking fee (£20 + b/f for 5 – 15 year olds, with under 5’s free) from www.livefromthevalley.co.uk.

Beverley Knight shows no signs of slowing down. The West Midlands star has sold over a million albums including four gold and one platinum certified album. She has been nominated for ‘Best Female’ at the Brit Awards 3 times, nominated for a prestigious Mercury Music prize and won 3 MOBO Awards. She has sold out the Royal Albert Hall 3 times and collaborated with such artists as Prince, Jamiroquai, Bryan Adams, Take That, Chaka Khan, Andrea Bocelli and many more. As one of the nation’s favourite singers, Beverley has just announced a role on the judging panel of forthcoming ITV singing talent show ‘Starstruck’ and continues to be in high demand on all fronts. Beverley Knight supporting UB40 is a rare treat which should not be missed!
The Dualers are an 8-piece band led by Tyber Cranstoun whose unique Jamaican style rhythm and blues sound has seen them consistently sell out tours across the world. Their distinctive and energetic live performances has seen the band build a worldwide fanbase and their most recent album ‘Palm Trees & 80 Degrees’ crashed into the UK album charts at no.11 in 2019. The band just keep getting better and will surely get the Sandwell Valley Country Park crowds worked up for a wonderful day and night of music and entertainment.

UB40: Live From The Valley will be a talking point of the summer; a chance to see incredible live acts like Beverley Knight and The Dualers as well as UB40, a band who have sold over 70 million albums, scored 2 US Billboard no.1 singles, over 50 UK chart singles including 3 no.1 hits and received 4 Grammy nominations along the way!

This will be an event for all the family to enjoy with summer festival vibes, friendly crowds, plenty of quality food and drink, fairground rides and entertainment and of course the big songs that we all know and love to sing along with.

UB40: Live From The Valley is promoted by Weird Science, highly experienced and forward-thinking independent Birmingham-based promoters. The team are pleased to bring two of the West Midlands’ best loved artists onto the same bill in UB40 and Beverley Knight and, with even more announcements to come, promise an event to remember.
