Las Iguanas is opening its doors at Brindley Place, Birmingham on 12th April - inviting guests to enjoy its iconic flavour and spirit of Latin America in its extensive outside terrace.

The new 122-cover restaurant and bar, which takes over the old Café Rouge Brindley Place location, features an 82-cover outside terrace for alfresco eating and drinking. The team will be welcoming guests with a selection of boldly spiced dishes and it is Happy Days not Happy Hour with 2for1 cocktails all day every day. A Bottomless Brunch (from £29.95pp) is also bookable seven days a week with a cocktail upgrade option available for £5pp (the upgrade is currently free for visits Sunday to Wednesday). In addition, guests will also be able to order the Chicas' Cocktail Club package of cocktails and tapas (from £24.95pp).

Celebrating the authentic flavours of Latin America, guests will be able to sample an array of favourites, including stacked-up Fajitas sizzling in Las Iguanas’ top secret spice mix, the Copacabana Burger - a buttermilk-marinated spicy chicken breast with Emmental and pink pickled onions, held together in a toasted brioche bun; and the North Brazilian classic, Xinxim - chicken and crayfish in a creamy lime and peanut sauce with spring onion rice, shredded greens, coconut farofa and sweet plantain.

The restaurant, set to open for indoor dining from 17th May, is complete with tropical green plant walls, flashes of neon signage and awash with lots of sky blue and soft sandy yellows, evocative of Brazilian beaches. In addition, a large-scale street art feature wall inspired by travels to Mexico and the Americas, will transport guests to holidays gone-by.

Daniel Savage, General Manager at Las Iguanas Brindley Place, said: “Las Iguanas has been a firm favourite and part of the community in Birmingham since we opened our fifth branch in the Arcadian in 1997 and so we are delighted to be welcoming another location and throwing open the doors in Brindley Place - starting up the celebration for our guests, whether dining out or popping by to socialise safely with a few cocktails. We’ve been blown away by the number of online bookings we have received in recent weeks and we are looking forward to welcoming a new wave of customers as well as seeing some familiar faces through our doors.”

Las Iguanas Brindley Place is open seven days a week for outdoor dining and home delivery, from 11am – 10pm. In line with government guidelines, indoor dining will be available from 17 May 2021.
