Brindleyplace is counting down the days to Christmas in style; with a range of FREE festive activities and entertainment set to delight visitors.

From Santa visits and live outdoor music to crafts and festive trails, along with a festive backdrop and a new canopy of lights, the FREE activities for families and party go-ers are a huge “Merry Christmas” from Birmingham’s favourite business and leisure estate.

The festivities start next week (Thursday 12 and Friday 13) with ‘dirty jazz’ on the bandstand from Andi Wolf (with festive music thrown in of course!), and the amazing talents of Sense’s ‘sing and sign’ choir, who are this year’s Brindleyplace charity partner. They’ll be performing from 6-9pm so there is plenty of time to see them and have a drink after work! While you’re there, don’t forget to visit the Ikon craft market on Thursday 12 December, where visitors can pick up one of a kind gifts – all while supporting local suppliers.

For kids (or big kids!) who love Lego, the Lego Santa will be making an appearance in Central Square between 12-14 December! Once you’ve met Santa and got a selfie with him, visiting families can pick up a free festive trail entry form from the Ikon, Crescent Theatre or Pitcher & Piano, and hunt down the festive Brindley symbols hidden around the estate. If you find them all, you could even win yourself some fantastic prizes! If all that wasn’t enough, you could end your day with a visit to see A Christmas Carol at The Crescent theatre, which is running from December 3-14.

For all the foodie families, you can celebrate the festive season on Sunday 15 December with lunch and a visit from Santa at the Hilton Garden Inn, or join Piccolino on Sunday 8 December for story time and brunch with Santa – perfect for the little ones! Or for a fun night out after work, enjoy Piccolino’s  Festive Fizz masterclass and spend an evening sampling some of this year’s finest fizzes while enjoying canapes – a perfect way to kick off the party season.

Stacey Muir, Marketing & Events Executive at Brindleyplace, said: “Christmas is right around the corner, so to get everyone in the holiday spirit, we’ve got a jam packed calendar full of festive events to see us through to the end of the year.

“We love creating experiences for all our communities, and with live music, Lego Santa, a Christmas trail, a craft market and A Christmas Carol all happening between now and Christmas, there’s more than one reason to visit Brindleyplace this December. So pop by, enjoy a couple of drinks or a meal – and capture some insta-worthy moments with our selfie frame and stunning light canopy - and help us enjoy the festive season in style.”
