Radisson Blu Birmingham – 2018 Hotel of the Year

The hotel has been awarded this coveted prize in the UK, Ireland & Western Europe Region within the Radisson Hotel Group. It has achieved a record breaking year in 2018, with all key financial and quality key performance indicators achieved and in most cases over delivered. 

In addition to the above fantastic achievements, it was an active member in the local Birmingham community, and helped to raise support to the Birmingham Children’s Hospital throughout the year with Easter Egg Donations and sponsoring the drinks reception at the annual children’s families carol service at Christmas. Also, on a corporate level the hotel has raised over £1500 for Teenage Cancer Trust and adopted a child as part of the SOS Children’s Villages.

The hotel actively support the Birmingham School of Catering with work placements, student mentoring and scholarships. Finally to add to the successful year, the hotel was nominated, shortlisted and came runner up the ‘West and East Midlands Hotel of the Year’ in 2018.

Departing General Manager, Hina Simpson who oversaw the hotel come out of receivership and through a multimillion pound refurbishment said about the award,

The hotel has been on an incredible journey over the last 5 years from being in administration to now putting the hotel back on the map as of one of Birmingham’s leading upper upscale hotels".
