London-based Adventure Bar Group – of famed late-night venues Tonight Josephine, Adventure Bar, Blame Gloria, Bar Elba and The Escapologist – are to launch Luna Springs, their first fully outdoor venue in the former Digbeth Arena site in the heart of Birmingham’s creative centre on April 12th.
The fully outdoor immersive bar and food experience will synergise the existing architectural façade with the exquisitely unique and statement décor that the Adventure Bar Group venues are renowned for; creating a one-of-a-kind venue that has a capacity for up to 2,500 guests and will be the perfect showcase for a summer of live events.
Named after The Lunar Society of Birmingham – an 18th Century secret club comprised of prominent figureheads and gifted intellectuals who would meet on every full moon – the late-night venue will revive the historical creativity of the City, celebrating Digbeth’s innovative spirit and industry.
With a phased opening, The Adventure Bar group will look to expand the space as well as the food, drink and events offering over the course of the next twelve months – Phase 1 will see the space readied for up to 400 guests who can expect boozy bottomless brunches, delicious cocktails, ice cold draft craft beer, live DJ’s, sporting events (including the Euros) and an outdoor cinema in time for the summer; Phase 2 sees the space opened up to its full potential, creating an awe-inspiring venue with capacity for up to 2,500 guests. Not only will The Adventure Bar Group expand the food offering by drafting in some of Birmingham’s most loved street-food vendors, but they’ll be hosting live gigs, medium-scale festivals, mass karaoke, and much more.
Tom Kidd, Co-Founder of The Adventure Bar Group commented, “We can’t wait to introduce Luna Springs to Birmingham. Our aim is to create a hub of experience – from banging cocktails to the very best local street food vendors as well as musical talent and supporting local events and movements; we want to be a part of the fabric of the city and the must-visit venue this summer.”
Luna Springs opens on April 12th. For all bookings, please contact bookings@lunasprings.co.uk.
