Birmingham Museums is now delivering delicious recipe boxes directly to your door inspired by some of the most popular dishes from the Edwardian Tearooms and Sarehole Mill Bakehouse.

Are you missing popping into Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery (BMAG) for your favourite brunch dish or visiting Sarehole Mill for a spot of lunch?

The new service, taking orders from today Monday 4 May ready for delivery during the bank holiday weekend, includes a series of recipe boxes which contains all the ingredients you need to cook visitor favourites at home.

The boxes include fresh ingredients and simple instructions so you can prepare and cook your chosen dish. Recipes boxes include:

The BMAG Edwardian Tearooms Brunch Box: Eggs Benedict www.birminghammuseums.org.uk/recipe-boxes/eggs-benedict-box
The BMAG Edwardian Tearooms Brunch Box: Smoked Salmon and Eggs www.birminghammuseums.org.uk/recipe-boxes/smoked-salmon-and-eggs-box

Alex Nicholson-Evans, Commercial Director at Birmingham Museums, said: “We really miss being able to serve delicious meals to our visitors across our sites, so we are thrilled to be launching this new delivery service for the people of Birmingham. We’ve chosen three of our most popular dishes, so you can enjoy re-creating the recipes in the comfort of your own kitchen!

“Sales in our restaurants and shops are one of the main ways we are able to fund the work we do as a charity, and while our doors are closed, we are no longer able to generate this income. By ordering a recipe box you’ll be able to enjoy a tasty meal at home, whilst also supporting Birmingham Museums during this challenging time.”

Deliveries will be made on Friday, Saturday and Sunday within a 15mile radius of Thinktank, Birmingham Science Museum. You can find more details here www.birminghammuseums.org.uk/recipe-boxes/recipe-boxes.

Sales go towards supporting Birmingham Museums, and the valuable work the team does with local communities, while the doors to the nine museum sites are temporarily closed. Find out more about how to support Birmingham Museums at www.birminghammuseums.org.uk/support-us.
