Tennis

Anyone for tennis? Whether you’re playing or watching, Birmingham’s courts will have caught your attention.

Aegon Classic, 9-15 June, Edgbaston Priory Club

Each year Birmingham welcomes The Aegon Classic tennis tournament which attracts a host of world-class players at the Edgbaston Priory Club.

The event, which is just five minutes from Birmingham City Centre, hails the start of the summer tennis season and provides an unbelievable opportunity to watch some of the world’s best players in an intimate and welcoming setting.

Teenage British No.1, Laura Robson joined Heather Watson and former Wimbledon finalist Marion Bartoli at last year’s Aegon Classic tennis tournament.

The tournament will be taking place this year between the 9-15 June 2014.

Pay to play

If you have brought your whites with you and fancy a game there are hundreds of grass and hard courts across the city and wider region including Billesley Indoor Tennis Centre.
