Each year Birmingham welcomes The Aegon Classic tennis tournament which attracts a host of world-class players at the Edgbaston Priory Club.
The event, which is just five minutes from Birmingham City Centre, hails the start of the summer tennis season and provides an unbelievable opportunity to watch some of the world’s best players in an intimate and welcoming setting. Players at the 2012 event included the top for British women, Elena Baltacha, Anne Keothavong, Heather Watson and Laura Robson as well World No. 17, Daniela Hantuchova.
Teenage British No.1, Laura Robson joined Heather Watson and former Wimbledon finalist Marion Bartoli at this year’s Aegon Classic tennis tournament.
