The Birmingham sports calendar is jam packed.
Every week during the season, chances are that there’ll be a Premier League or Championship football game in town, a major competition at the NIA and Test cricket and tennis are regular visitors too.

Race Tech World Motorsport Symphosium, 6-7 January 2014, ThinkTank
A star cast of elite motorsport engineers has been assembled for the next RACE TECH World Motorsport Symposium to be held at the Think Tank, Birmingham's Science Museum.
With the theme being “We are creating a new rule book...what should it be and why?” they have agreed to participate in what is going to be a very unique event, one quite unlike anything that has happened before.

BBL Cup Final, 12 January 2014, NIA
Basketball’s equivalent of the FA Cup returns for the twelfth year in a row to the illustrious surroundings of the NIA, for what promises to be an incredible day of high flying, slam dunking, action!
Cup Final Day is one of the most eagerly-anticipated during the BBL (men’s professional league in the UK) season as the stars of the British game lay it all on the line in pursuit of this coveted piece of silverware.

Arenacross, 25 January 2014, LG Arena
Following a sold out tour in 2013, Arenacross is back! With its killer mix of all-action indoor dirt bike racing and gravity-defying Freestyle Motocross – set to a pumping soundtrack and laser show - Arenacross is a non-stop, three-hour white-knuckle ride! Arenacross takes the most spectacular elements of outdoor Motocross racing, boils them down into a concentrated cocktail and then shoehorns them into arenas onto purpose-built dirt tracks. With Freestyle Motocross the competition takes place 40 feet above the track with riders hitting purpose-built ramps and then attempting to out-do each other as they whip and back-flip 100kg motorcycles in a jaw-dropping display of aerial gymnastics. TNA Impact Wrestling, 2 February 2014, NIA
The first wrestlers to be confirmed for the Maximum Impact VI Tour are; TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bully Ray, British superstar Magnus, Bobby Roode, Samoa Joe, Chris Sabin, Austin Aries, Manik, James Storm, Gunner and Gail Kim*. This talented roster will showcase their moves in a series of action-packed matches set to be one of wrestling’s highlights of the year.
More worldwide wrestling stars will be added to the roster shortly.

British Athletics Indoor Grand Prix, 15 February 2014, NIA
The grand finale of the British Athletics Indoor Series, at the NIA, sees the A list of world class athletes battle it out. The British Athletics Indoor Grand Prix is widely recognised as the best indoor grand prix in the world so don’t delay and miss out on the hottest tickets in town! Last year, a sell-out crowd watched double Olympic and world champion Mo Farah cruise to victory in the 3000m, while Perri Shakes-Drayton, Holly Bleasdale and sprint queens Carmelita Jeter and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce all starred under the spot lights in Birmingham.

2014 Premier League Darts, 1 May 2014, NIA
Premier League Darts will be bigger than ever in 2014 with the introduction of an additional league night, as the ten-player tournament visits the NIA in Birmingham. Darts' biggest roadshow event will celebrate its tenth staging, with reigning champion Michael van Gerwen set to defend his title against the likes of six-time winner Phil Taylor. The competitors for the 2014 Premier League Darts will be announced in January following the completion of the Ladbrokes World Darts Championship, with the top four players from the PDC Order of Merit to be joined by six Wildcards.
