ICC Champions Trophy

ICC Champions Trophy features the eight best one day international cricket teams in the world (according to the Reliance Mobile ICC ODI Rankings) and will be played out across three grounds – The Cardiff Wales Stadium, The Oval and Edgbaston.

 8 June - England v Australia
10 June - Pakistan v South Africa
12 June - Australia v New zealand
15 June - India v Pakistan
23 June - Final

Aegon Classic, 9-16 June, Edgbaston Priory Club

IPC Athletics Grand Prix Final, 29 June, Alexander Stadium

Some of the world’s best athletes will compete in Birmingham on Saturday 29 June when the British city’s Alexander Stadium stages the 2013 IPC Athletics Grand Prix Final.

Taking place three weeks before the 2013 IPC Athletics World Championships in Lyon, France, the Birmingham IPC Athletics Grand Prix Final will be the seventh and final event of the IPC Athletics Grand Prix. The series was launched this year to give athletes greater opportunities to compete against the world’s best whilst also developing a framework of excellence in competition management.

Being staged just one day before the British Athletics Birmingham Grand Prix, the event is expected to welcome more than 144 athletes competing in 18 events.

Sainsbury’s Grand Prix - Birmingham, Alexander Stadium, 30 June

The world’s best athletes will return to Alexander Stadium for the Sainsbury’s Grand Prix - Birmingham on Sunday 30 June.

Now in its third year, the prestigious IAAF Diamond League meet will welcome a world-class line up to the West Midlands as an array of Olympic athletes take to the track and field.

Double Olympic champion Mo Farah and Olympic long jump gold medallist Greg Rutherford will be in live action along with local hero and Olympic high jump bronze medallist Robbie Grabarz and Christine Ohuruogu, who won silver over 400m in London.

A number of international stars will also be on show, including American Carmelita Jeter, the second fastest woman of all time, and former World 100m champion Kim Collins.

Sainsbury’s British Championships - Birmingham, Alexander Stadium, 12-14 July
