Young Rewired State's Festival of Code

PAST EVENT - August 10-12, Custard Factory

For the first time, Birmingham is playing host to Young Rewired State's Festival of Code.

The Festival culminates in a "Show and Tell" Day on August 11 hosted by Dallas Campbell of Bang Goes the Theory and in front of the grand final Judges, Lily Cole, Jonathan Luff Advisor at No 10, Conrad Wolfram, Aral Balkan and Thomas Grassl from headline sponsor SAP.

In the week leading up to the Festival, Young rewired State and its team of mentors "hack" open Government data, create amazing apps, internet sites and programmes and for the first time Birmingham has its own centre.

Attendance is free: to take part in the Festival or to attend the Show and Tell visit youngrewiredstate.org

The week is especially important as it allows the kids to realise that as a tecchie they are not alone, to form friendships with other like-minded kids and to see that coding is a promising and rewarding career.
