A choc-tastic Easter at Birmingham Botanical Gardens!

Families are invited to hop along to Birmingham Botanical Gardens this Easter for a week full of exciting activities, games and a chocolate factory!

On Monday 10th, Wednesday 12th and Friday 14th April, families can get creative with Easter-themed arts and crafts suitable for children of all ages. The fun continues on Tuesday 11th and Thursday 13th with appearances from Birmingham Botanical Gardens’ resident wildlife. Spaces are limited so make sure to pick up a free ticket on arrival from reception.

New for this year, families can try their hand at making their very own chocolate treats in the Chocolate Factory! Little ones can then venture into the tropical rainforest to find the cocoa tree and learn all about it in a fun and educational workshop.

The fun and games continue on Easter Monday (17 April) on the lawn with a visit from Bibbledy Bob the clown. The award-winning entertainer will be causing mischief with plenty of games and music to keep the young ones entertained for hours. There will also be a bouncy castle, face painting, arts and crafts and the option to enter your bonnet into the Easter Bonnet Parade for the chance to win a prize.

James Wheeler, CEO of Birmingham Botanical Gardens, said:

Easter is our favourite holiday at the Gardens – it’s not every bank holiday that you get a Friday AND a Monday off to enjoy chocolate! It is for this reason that we are exceptionally good at celebrating it. We feel like we’ve really egg-ceeded exceeded expectations this Easter with our chocolate factory, but catch it while you can – it’s only here for one day!
If making your own chocolate sounds like too much hard work for a Sunday, our chocolate workshop is the perfect compromise.

The event will run from Monday 10th April until Easter Monday, 17th April. Activities taking place throughout the week are from 11am – 3pm. As a special Easter offer, all children under 16 will be admitted for free when with a fee-paying adult or member when visiting between Monday and Friday. Standard admission prices apply for adults.

For more information about activities taking place throughout Easter half term, visit www.birminghambotanicalgardens.org.uk or call 0121 454 1860.
