Birmingham Cruise Show

Europe’s largest cruise show will return to the NEC Birmingham on the 16th and 17th September, with over 28 cruise lines and partners exhibiting, including Celebrity Cruises, Hurtigruten, Saga Group, Scenic & Emerald Waterways, Thomson Cruises and Viking Cruises, among others.

The two day event will be packed full of information, inspiration and celebrity speakers, bringing together the best specialist operators and cruise holiday providers all under one roof, covering everything from all-inclusive luxury getaways, to cultural river cruises and small-ship holidays destined for remote locations.

To top it all off, the Cruise Show is the place to go to secure your next holiday, whilst making the most of exclusive show-only offers.

General admission to The Birmingham Cruise Show is free of charge, but tickets can be registered in advance or entry can be obtained on the day. The show opens at 10am and closes at 5pm on Saturday and 4pm on Sunday.

Maximize your holiday downtime
Increase the actual time you spend relaxing on holiday by swapping the annual smattering of city breaks for a cruise. With just one packing session and one set of transfers you can visit multiple destinations and avoid airport queues and waiting times. That means more real holiday time for you to spend unwinding and having fun.

Go off the beaten path
Cruising opens up a world of remote destinations which are otherwise hard to reach. Small-ship sailings are able to navigate narrow waterways allowing you to discover the wonders of places lacking in infrastructure like Burma, the islands of Papua New Guinea, the Amazon and the Sub-Antarctic islands of New Zealand. Take a luxurious yet intimate river cruise to see secluded sites and gain a fresh perspective on Old World Europe and beyond.

Multigenerational appeal
With such a diverse range of destinations and activities on offer, a cruise holiday caters to everyone from babies to mature, seasoned travellers. In addition to more relaxing pastimes such as spa visits and wildlife watching, cruise passengers can now experience Star Wars parties, rock climbing, sky-diving, and watch movies under the stars. And, with on-board nurseries and kid’s clubs parents can enjoy a welcome break or choose from a number of family-friendly games and classes.

Incredible excursions
Gone are the days when trips ashore amounted to little more than a brief trundle around a convenient port. Excursions now on offer include visits to Machu Picchu, guided tours of the Mekong River’s floating markets, flying in a MiG fighter jet, underwater walks in Bora Bora, and quad bike safaris in Mauritius. Those keen to spend a little longer exploring dry land can choose from a number of different ‘cruise and stay’ holiday options.

The food is amazing
Cruise lines now attract serious foodies and partnerships with celebrity chefs such as Thomas Keller, Marco Pierre White and Fabio Cucchinelli are on the rise. True gourmands can set sail on culinary themed cruises which feature cookery classes in on-board show kitchens and shore excursions to Michelin star restaurants.
