Echo & The Bunnymen are the headliners for the opening night. They will be joined by Guillemots, Beth Jeans Houghton & The Hooves of Destiny
The Destroyers, Abigail Washburn who will be playing with Kai Welch & Dark Dark Dark who will headline the Lunar Stage. Completing the Lunar Stage will be Ex-Gorky Zygotic Mynci’s Richard James, Laura J Martin, Gentle Good and Golden Glass.

 

1 September

The longstanding troubadour of the Folk Rock World – Roy Harper will headline on the Saturday night. The line up will be completed by Laural Canyon Revivalist Jonathan Wilson, Julian Cope, Goodnight Lenin, Devon Sproule, Lanterns On The Lake, The Magnetic North, Rachel Sermanni, Treetop Flyers, Ellen & The Escapades, Micky Greaney, Little Sister, Revere and The Terrapins.

 

2 September 

Folk legends Steeleye Span will bring the Moseley Folk Festival to a close on the Sunday night. They will be joined by Cara Dillon, Simon Fowler’s new project Merrymouth, Jackie Oates, Destroyers front man Paul Murphy, Spiro, Emily Portman Trio, The Long Notes, Village Well, Jonny Kearney & Lucy Farrell, False Beards, Telling The Bees, Rapunzel & Sedayne, and Sunjay Brayne with some very special guests to be announced.

There will also be a special performance from the Kawa Circus. Kawa Circus tells a story of an itinerant troupe of artists from a circus of Rajasthan (India) arriving with all their material and happiness in rhythms and music, is another step by the Moseley Folk organisers to continue adding depth the annual event. This sits alongside a host of family friendly entertainment, locally sourced food and refreshments and workshops organized by the Traditional Arts Team.

 

Tickets

Tickets are now on sale via www.moseleyfolk.co.uk. To avoid booking fees there is the option to send in a postal form which is now available from the website. Alternatively, you can visit one of the outlets listed on the Moseley Folk site to pick up the tickets in person.

This years Official Aftershow Party will be taking place at Hare & Hounds on 1st September 2012 after Roy Harper has brought the Saturday to a close. It will be headlined by the Treetop Flyers and will be exclusive to festival ticket holders only.
